Foundation was recently awarded a $4,695 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant to help
fund our “Davis Welcomes You” project. Our grant application was based on the goal of
landscaping and beautifying Davis’ front entrance area. We are thrilled with the timing
of this grant – a time when road widening has left unsightly areas without county funds
for grounds beautification. This grant will enable us to tackle a portion of our
landscaping needs in front of our school.
Dr. Mobley explains, “Our school and community will benefit greatly from this grant. We
wish to thank our friends at Lowe’s for generously supporting this important project.”
YOU can become a part of “Davis Welcomes You!” In order to implement the grant, we
will be asking for volunteers who can spend a few hours of time helping install plants.
Stay tuned for more information about how you can get involved with this project.
Foundation will spend the next several months finalizing the design plan and working
with landscapers to ensure proper installation. We look forward to sharing with you the
beautiful plan that will make our entrance truly welcoming for our community.
