Just as the PTA has room parents for each classroom, the Davis Foundation
also has a room parent,  called a Liaison.  There is a Davis Foundation
Parent Liaison in each classroom to help facilitate communications
between the Foundation Board and the Davis community.  If you are serving
as a Liaison, thank you for volunteering to serve in this very important role!

This volunteer position is one that can be easily performed in the comforts of
your home.  It involves forwarding informational emails to the parents in your
assigned class.  If you are interested in serving as a Parent Liaison, please
contact  Frances Halvorsen, Liaison Coordinator.

We appreciate your help providing information to all parents in your
child’s classroom about Foundation activities.

As a Foundation Liaison, you will receive important emails with the
Foundation information throughout the school year.  You will forward
the majority of the emails you receive, while some  emails will be sent
just to apprise you of Foundation activities.

  • You may secure a list of parent emails from the PTA room mom.

  • Please forward Foundation Liaison emails as soon as
    possible.

  • Communications during the fundraising events will be spaced
    so that parents receive important details without becoming
    overwhelmed.

  • Please copy your teacher and the Liaison Coordinator (Frances
    Halvorsen) on each email.

  • Send email intact, with a short introduction such as “Please
    read the following update from the Foundation.  Feel free to
    contact me with any questions...”

  • You will be the main contact for the parents in your child's class
    with Foundation related questions and suggestions.  If you are
    unsure of the answer to a question, please forward the email to
    Frances Halvorsen.
